Associate, Proposal Manager
Arcadis
Boston, MA

Pia Cardinali, FSMPS, CPSM, has been engaged in AEC marketing and business development for over 15 years. What began as an interest in architecture led her to discover professional services marketing. Pia has been an active member of SMPS Boston since 2008 and served as the Chapter President during the 2017-2018 program year. Education and her love of learning is what initially led her to become involved in SMPS. She has shared this through involvement in planning committees, as a board member, and as NERC Logistics co-chair. Years ago she resurrected the Boston Chapter Boot Camp, which has since become an annual program. Pia worked hard to gain confidence in public speaking and has shared tips and skills through presentations delivered to the SMPS Northeast Regional Conference and the Philadelphia Chapter, as well as with unsuspecting colleagues who welcome feedback on improving their presentation skills. An interest in data has helped provide the hard numbers that guide informed decisions for marketing and BD efforts with her team. Always an editor and very detail-oriented, she ensures that her team submits top notch materials for all requests and teaches her colleagues that every moment is a potential business opportunity. With a fondness for social media, a love of fonts and an appreciation of the built environment, she has found her niche within this industry.
